LET THE PIECES FALL WHERE THEY MAY.
One of the many sayings that is easier said than done. Am I right?
How many times do I try to hold onto things that no longer serve me or I try to grasp onto things to feel some semblance of control? Like at least a million times each day.
I can’t imagine I’m the only gal who ‘puts it down,’ trying to convince myself that I have let it go and then 5 minutes later I’m ‘I’m picking it back up again…’
It’s a constant effort to try to remind myself that it’s okay to not be in control all of the time. More accurately it’s okay to feel out of control most of the time. Realistically speaking many things are out of our control; not everything but more than we would like to admit. I get it, it’s easier for our brains when we think we have control…
For our hearts & spirit not so much the case.
When we get caught up in trying to control how everything plays out we lose the autonomy of the moment. We sell out our spontaneity. We subconsciously send ourselves the message that we can’t handle what might come our way…
True life. You can. And you have. And you will again & again. Even when it doesn’t feel like it. So today when your brain is trying to convince you to white knuckle that thing that is completely out of your control; let it go.
You will thank yourself for it later ♥️
